DFW Truck Meets!!!
 

I know there is already a DFW thread but I figured I would make a DFW thread that is only for truck meet ups and friday night drag and brags.

So far meet wise I know of Carhartts and Tailgates in Plano, every saturday night. And also the Tuesday night meet ups at Cabela's in Allen.

If y'all have any more meets or even want to start a DFW Ford Club or start a new meet, post em here! We'll get the word out through the good ole grapevine!

Okay, so I have heard a few people would be up for a group convoy to Carhartts and Tailgates this Saturday, but some are not sure.

Let's do a roll call of who all would like to meet near DFW airport area and roll to the meet.

I know some of y'all are closer to Plano and that's fine. For those of you who are in the Fort Worth area then let's try to get a group to roll out there.

Not that I personally have anything against diesel trucks, there's just not enough gas trucks at C&T meets. We gas guys are not well represented at the meet.

Once again, who's up for getting a big group together and rolling out convoy style to C&T meets in Plano on Saturday?

Somewhere around DFW airport area I live in Colleyville and a few people has mentioned they'd maybe tag on who live around my area.

OK, for those of you would like to convoy to the meet. I've got a location in Euless that we can meet up and roll from there. Here is the address 1201 W Glade Rd, Euless, TX 76039 there is a large parking lot behind the Whataburger where I will park, look for the grey F150 XLT with a cone in the truck bed, that will be me.

I'd like to be rolling no later than 7:30 since it's about a 35 minute drive from there. I realize this location may not be central to everyone but for those coming from the Fort Worth area this is about half way between FT. Worth and the meet in Plano.

For those who are unable to convoy out or would prefer to drive on their own, the meet address is 200 Coit Rd, Plano, TX. (turn onto Coit Rd and its behind the McDonalds, if you see Plano PKWY, I believe it's Plano PKWY don't quote me though, then you've gone too far)

Please PM me your name and what time you think you'd arrive at the "pre-meet" location, if you are wanting to meet to do a convoy. I want a headcount so I don't exclude someone and then have someone mad at me because I left them behind.

Also, I've pondered the idea of starting a DFW F150 Truck club, obviously for just F150's only. I don't have all the details together yet, but I will keep this thread up to date as I get closer to announcing the official club.

I know this is a huge posting and a lot of info, if you're confused about something then just shoot me a PM and I'll try to clear it up. Thanks y'all and I hope to at least see a large turnout of F150s at this weekends meet!

Anyone want to go to the car meet that happens in the same place as Carhartts meets does? Im itching to get out of another boring dinner.

Going to try and organize a DFW truck meet for Saturday Nov. 1st. Thinking Grapevine area. Who is in?

I posted in the other DFW thread and someone mentioned Bass Pro to your idea and I thought maybe have it from 5 to 7 then roll onto Carhartts? Whatever way you set it up will work for me!

Nov 1st is a no go for me. I'll be deer hunting in west texas that weekend.

What's the status on the November 1st meet?!?!

Sorry was real busy with family stuff this weekend. I could do a 5 pm meet at Bass Pro if that works with everybody else

Say Jared I want be able to come this or when I get my Ford but the way to get started is the word to get a good Ford club going . I been in alot of truck clubs scene the 80s.

Well I'm back to Ford . I got a friend down at Houston way he is making a deal for me . I do not know when I'm getting it . hopefully by Christmas .

Well correct. That is the Bass Pro but I was going to suggest canceling it. There is only about 4 trucks saying they will show up. Seems kind of pointless

Theres a small local car meet every wednesday here in Rockwall where I'm from, couple of fast vetoes, quite a bit of trucks, and ricers, its not bad hang in out with buddies. but now that its getting cold don't know how good it will be.

Wednesdays are always busy for me but maybe next week I'll make it out.

Have you been to a meet yet? You'd understand why. Also it was started a week or so before Christmas last year.

Carhartts for the brand of workwear and jackets.
Tailgates for sitting on and chatting. Don't see how that "screams redneck" but whatever. Come to a meet. You'll see.

Id like to start one up out here in Fort Worth. I just replied to a post of yours asking if these were still happening. Fort Worth is a lot closer that plano or allen.

Yes these are still on, although it is slowly dying only the 15 or so original people still always make the meets. I'd be up for a mid day meet on saturday.


Think about a time and location, get WRITTEN PERMISSION from the OWNER of a parking lot in a decent area of town maybe hulen or ridgmar mall and let us know, then start a facebook/instagram page to promote the meet, word spreads among us truck guys. Once word is spread and it turns out to be a good meet then people will come from miles around.

At Carhartts we have people from Denton who drove to our meets. Denton to Allen is not a short drive. I drive 35 min from DFW Airport every saturday to go to the meet.

Let me know if you want help setting it up, I can help you find people to come to the meet.

10-4 man, appreciate the reply. My truck is in the middle of some work but once it is done ill start a FB page and reply to this thread with link. I can make some of the meets out that way just not everyone. Family comes first. But its not too bad with gas being down lol.

I understand man. Family is always #1. If you get free time, make a meet. We can discuss some details about a possible Fort Worth meet. Obviously I want you to know, I'm going to show some loyalty to the Carhartts guys but I'd be more than willing to offer you any help you need in starting another meet!

Well in case any of y'all want to make the Carhartts meet this weekend (yes I know its Valentine's Day...screw that crap) it is on at 8PM like normal but the location is now in Allen. Carhartts and Tailgates meet this weekend, meet is at 301 Coit Rd, Plano, TX 75075 at 8 PM. This location is the SAMs Club off of Coit RD and 190 (George Bush).
