What should I do?
This is a post looking for advice.
I recently purchased an as is F150 2009, 4x4, Long box, small cab, white, 235,000km.
I got it for 4200CAD, and was under the impression it needed some work to fix the four wheel drive and brakes.
After taking it in for safety inspection I find it needs 1800CAD in repairs (parts and labour).
I expected to pay as much as maybe 800CAD for breaks and the inspection, but I really didn't think it would cost this much.
-About me, I have wanted a truck for a long time, I owned a 1994, and loved it, but sadly could not keep it. I am currently very poor, I am forced to live with my parents again, and work a job I hate, it took me months to find this truck.
Should I try and sell it? Keep it?

Depends on what work it needs.
Most actual "safety" items can be done at home.
$1800 doesn't sound terrible actually if a shop is doing everything. Hell I would think nearly $1000-$1200 of that would be brakes (parts & labour).
