Spring Meet Activity - Request for IT Help

There is an opportunity to embellish our day, really bring it together, with imagery and video. From filming and shooting the assembly and judging, including the parade of vehicles as the leave the park, through photo ops at various select locations on our Township Cruise and Poker Run, we will be able to collect a good amount of material if enough people coordinate their shooting activity.

I am thinking that a small group could handle a quick collection and edit in our supplied RV for transfer on to disc so that we could display the day's activities on the large screen TV's in the Hunt Pub at Hogan's Inn while we have lunch and hand out the awards. The material doesn't need much of an edit.. just arranging into groups of scenes so that it makes sense. Rough cuts.

The RV comes with large LCD TV and a private room of size that can be turned into an editing studio. People with WiFi devices could contribute remotely, or bring in their SD cards for inclusion. We just need a few dedicated people to put this together, quickly, throughout the morning and before lunch.

Following the Event itself the further refinement of the material though an editing process will take place, so that we can promote/market our Event long afterward, and make DVD's for sale, to build up the war chest for the next undertaking. Blackstock have an in-house pro who can help with this... you can see his work in the video's on their 'Customs' page on their website... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6icWIfqlGck

Let's get this going everyone. Let us know how you can contribute to this one activity that will put the cream on top of the Event cake.

I had thought of serving great coffee out the side of the RV.... but you've just given me an idea... I'll ring up Tim's and see if they want to come in on this.

Edit: They need twelve weeks' notice.

YES!!!!! We both know that in Canada, you just can't go to a car/truck meet and not have a tims in your hand. It's almost illegal.

Important Spring Meet Update and ANNOUNCEMENT

My good friend Gerry (Ol Skool) from FordTough.ca will be attending our Spring Meet with his wife, and a few of his buddies, all of them driving vintage Ford and Mercury F150's.... this is a very special addition to our ranks. Be sure to give them a big welcome when we see them!

They will be competing in our Best of Gen Competition and have extended an invitation to us to attend their 20th Annual Ford and Mercury Truck Nationals in Arthur on August 16,17/2014. This is an important milestone in their history, and I would like to mark the occasion with our support, and a Rallye to Arthur on that date. Please mark it in your calendars now and we will organize it up after May 25th. http://www.fordtruckclub.com/Arthur%...Nationals.html

Update F150 Owners Spring Meet and Cruise, May 24th - King City

After Cruise Luncheon Event Midday Meal, Awards Ceremonies, Videos and Pics on Large Screen TV's
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~
We have secured Hogan's Inn Hunt Pub in King City (see map in 'Events' above) for our luncheon following the Best in Class Competition judging and Cross Country Cruise through King Township, which also involves a Poker Run. The management are opening up the pub just for us, and the arrangement is exclusive.
While we are chowing down and having a pint the sponsors and judges will be taking to the stage to present Awards for the Best in Class Competitions, and announcing winners of the Cross Country Poker Challenge (each team will have five trucks). We will also have quickly edited the best of the day's videos and put them together with pics and they will continuously loop over the TV's scattered throughout the lounge (I think there are six or so large screens)
We have determined the best way to move forward on this particular segment of the event is to have a limited scope prix fixe menu so that individual ordering is kept to a minimum and the food is prepared ahead of time, served quickly and efficiently.
To this end then The Hunt Pub's Italian chef will offer an authentic homemade deep dish ricotta and mozzarella cheese w/ spinach and meat sauce lasagna with salads, bread and calamari appetizers....
How much you want to pay for your lunch will determine how much food is laid out. Based on forty people attending here are two price options for adults, only $5 apart, but the quality of the offering is marked:
For $24.95 the lasagna will be richer, deeper and will be endless supply.
For $19.95 the lasagna will be one serving only.
For both prices the salad and bread will be all you can eat. The calamari will be limited for both prices, but in more abundance for the higher price. I will also try and negotiate for more appetizer choice on the meal once we know which we way we will be going, but from discussion I have had I believe we will have greater negotiating power if we choose $24.95.
The quality guarantee will be of the highest order.. this is a well known gourmet establishment and they never use anything but the best, presented in the freshest and most tasteful manner. The bread will be authentic home cooked, Italian country style, full of fat and fresh out of the oven. Offered beers will include locally produced artisan ales and lagers.
Children under 12 will have a much reduced price. Of course, if you need to order from the menu it can be done but these prices are based on forty adults attending the prix fix. If many opt out the thing will fall apart... and so will the event. Consider that forty people invade your home and demand to be fed all at once! There is only one way to do it.
Please respond in this thread and tell us which way you want to go on this, $25.95 or $19.95. Feel free to offer opinion as you go. I will close the thread May 11th and Tyson and I will make our decision on how to handle the thing from there. We will post the result.
Thanks Everyone!
Jeff
