Just wondering if anyone on here in Canada installed HIDs on their truck and how did you go around it so you didn't lose your daytime running lights without having to always turn on your headlights during the daytime?

 

the set I got worked with the drls... cant imagine why yours doesnt

 

I didn't get an HID kit yet. After reading all the comments on the forum, they mentionned that you lose your daytime running lights because they work at 80% power so they don't push enough to ignite the HID bulb. No idea. Wouldn't want to install some and then lose my DRLs and find ways to rewire everything.

 

When you use a relay kit with your hids your lights will work fine.
Most half decent kits come with a relay kit.

 

I want to add HID's to my truck. Will this void the warrantee? Are 65 Watt's legal?

 

65 watts would be great if you're trying to land an airplane! haha

 

Your day time runnings will be replaced by ur hid as our trucks uses the same bulb. So ur hids will always be on. This however does affect the life span of the bulbs though

 

I bought my HID kit from retro-solutions and it works very well with the DRL.

 

Are there any HID Retrofitters in Canada that will put together a headlight package for me? I was talking to Brian at Sickshids.com, but guys have been complaining that he takes way too long ( 5 month wait). thanks
