Thumbs up Ford can't turn on trailer controller?

My dealer has had my truck for 2 days. I asked them to activate the trailer brake controller i installed. They say that the website they use to upload the required files they need to install on my truck is down. I'm leaving tomorrow to drive 8 hours to pick up my new camper. I guess I'm driving it home without trailer brakes. Anyone have any info on this?

Cheers.

Find another dealer. You absolutely need those breaks especially if the trailer is over 5K lbs. good luck.

I don't know abouthe the Ford process, but it is simply turning on a feature by changing a variable. FORScan does it easily. Try another dealer.

Using Ford's IDS it's even more simple, just tick the check mark and it's done. Blows my mind every time I read one of these "dealer can't do it" threads. They purposely made IDS moron proof. Guess that don't say much for the people working at dealers any more, at least some of them, I'm sure there are plenty of qualified techs still working at a dealer, just have to find them.
