Bolt receiver lock standard equipment
Apologies for diving right in to an issue. Just bought an alleged NEW 2018 F150 Lariat two days ago with tow package and it came from dealer with a Bolt receiver lock keyed to the truck key. I've done some searching but find no reference to it as a Ford feature. Is this receiver lock standard equipment?

Picked my 2019 up today and no not standard equipment. Doesn't look as though a tow bar has ever been attached as no scratches inside the receiver so maybe the dealer did this to prevent a towing test drive
By the way welcome to the forum! |

By the way welcome to the forum! Some things I learned New vehicle should have a NVIS form which disappeared to province upon registration: get a copy before it does. Carfax should show previous owners Trailer usage should be logged by computer on models that do that: my Lariat should have a record. Just because it has big tow mirrors doesn't mean electronic brake controller is included |
