Default Question for Albertas F-150s

my son just moved out to Alberta (Edmonton area) about a month ago and is looking for ( what else) but F-150!! Now coming from the Toronto area we don't have a use for a (Northern Package) on a truck. Do you guys out there have these things on your trucks and (what really are they). Sorry for such a lame question but you got to start somewhere.Thanks..

^^^ there's such a thing as a northern package...? Only thing I can think of is that it's got a block heater, but don't all Canadian models come with that?

..I remember reading on another forum (autos.ca) that some of the western guys were saying that you can order a northern package (ie, stronger battery,alternator,)etc....

It comes with a huge bull bar on the front and a shot gun mount incase you come across a polar bear. I figured some of you guys would have had this package.

Well I caved and bought a set of trailer tow mirrors. They have power, heat, puddle lamp, and signal. I'm losing memory and power fold, so hopefully I can live without those features.

If I can't live without and put my old mirrors back on the trailer tow mirrors will be put up for sale with the Alberta gang getting first crack at them.

Butters, how much did you pay for those trailer tow mirrors and where did you get them from? If you don't mind me asking? I am thinking about getting some also.

$330 shipped, eBay.

If you pay a little more you can get ones with memory. I decided to get a set without that feature.
