Hi guys ,

I've been reading quite a bit about the delays around orders of 19's with the 5.0 V8. On the board here , U.S at least , I'm hearing additional 10-12 week delays on top of the normal 6-8. Anyone heard of this or know if its accurate . My dealer says they have not heard of any of these production issues only issues with getting transport ( rail etc) . ?My dealer is Erinwood in Mississauga .

There are a couple of threads on here about this. It is true, and Ford doesn't seem to be saying why. Many have speculated that there are going to be changes in the engine, like they changed the 5.4L engine late 2007. Some 07's have the new heads, and the 08's had them. Could be changes due to the oil consumption issues some have had. But we likely won't know why until they start pumping them out again.

Not sure how accurate the info is but my order date was 05/02 , Scheduled for production Week of 05/27 and ETA ship date is 04/06 with delivery 4/10. Thats a 5.0 . So fingers crossed nothing changes . Just heard back from my dealer this afternoon after I posted .

I'm sure those are the dates I was given from their system today yes . Have the screen shot. How else can I be sure but wait and see? Do you know something I don't ?

You have the vehicle arriving a month *before* it was ordered. 🙂

Sorry mixed my month and day . June 10th ETA ... lol . Thanks for the catch .

NP. I ordered my 5.0L XLT Scab on 190430, and I discovered yesterday that the body shop intends to build it on 190527. I see no reason to expect it to stall at any point after that...therefore it should be up here about 21 days later. So...June 24th or so is my guess.

You think it will take 21 days to ship from Dearborn ?

From KC, actually. And yes - I don’t see why not. Assuming no bizarre repairs are needed...it should be driving out the Final Assembly door on the 28th, and on a train within 24 hours.
