2018 F150 5.0 w/10 speed delayed
I have been waiting some time to confirm availability of the 2018 F150 I want to buy with the 5.0 engine and the 10 speed transmission. I was hoping to pick up the truck in September.
My salesman told me last week that these units would be arriving in a few weeks, but today he called me to say that a memo went out from corporate indicating that there is a hold on 5.0/10sp production.
Does anyone know anything concrete about when these trucks will be available for delivery?

My experience has not been bad in the least. The salesman really can't deliver me a truck Ford can't supply, not his fault. Best way for you to help is to investigate the production status of 5.0/10 speed XLT models and report here if there are some production snags right now.
I have a contract to deliver my current car to the buyer on August 4, and I was hoping not to be more than a month before taking delivery. Just need to have some visibility so I can make arrangements to rent a vehicle until I can take possession.

Mara, I haven't seen any update on this post if there is a delay or not. I have ordered a 5.0 with 10 speed and am just wondering if there is anything to this.

I just heard from my dealer today and they confirmed there is a delay on production for the 5.0 engine. I was told Ford would not build the 5.0 until September or October. To me that means IF my truck gets built toward the end of October, I won't see it until November or December. If they build it after that then it's anyone's guess!!!! Merry Christmas from Ford I guess!

I am reluctantly going to have to look at another brand. Can't be without a vehicle until Nov/Dec.
