For the most part yes. I have had it about a year now and after I finally got all the little things fixed (plugs, vct, lifters, coils) the engine runs good. It is however a little pokey even with the few mods I have done. But, it is a truck.

I know of a 2002 F150 with a 5.4l that made to 630,000 miles.
The guy who owned it works for a engineering firm that worked in the waste water industry. He`s always on the road.
He retired his truck, he had to do transmission work and other drivetrain work over the years. He said the engine was never touched. Can`t argue with that.

'05 Supercrew with 102k. I haven't had any problems with it so far, but it's only been a few months. It runs great except for that damned tick, and came with a great track record of maintenance. I'm driving it until it dies.

I had 2 5.4 trucks prior to my current one with the 5.0. The 5.4 is a tow monster. I also had a 97 Yukon with the 5.7 and it wouldn't tow worth a damn. A dirty MAF will make any V8 feel like a 4 banger, especially towing.

Could not be happier, does everything I need it to do and more. Only thing engine related that has failed was the idler pulley. Couple of issues with the 4x4 but that's nothing serious.
I only have about 70,000 miles but fully expect to be driving this truck for years to come.
