Default Yoke and tail shaft play

How much movement should there be in the yoke at the tail shaft? There is about 3/8 to 1/2" up and down play which I'm thinking is giving me a clunk when taking off and stopping. Would this be just a new yoke or is there bearings in the tail that should be replaced also?

I also have a random ping which I'm pointing at the u joints for that, no movement in them though, probably just dry.

This truck is a fleet truck and the jokers before me never took care of it.

The rear end is new aside from the housing. The play I'm talking about is at the tranny tail shaft.
