how do you just loose a gear in your transmission..??? I lost Reverse yesterday and about to buy a Used trans with 31,000 miles on it.. any good tips or suggestions for the switch..

it just happens...how much is this trans? sometimes buying a used trans is not a smart idea, but depending on how much cash you got, it may be your only option.

 

I paid $929.00 for the new one which will be here tomorrow. just hope it works.. it only has 30,000 miles on it compared to the 71,000 I have on mine....

 

this just means I have an extra trans to beef up for my beast motor when I get back from the sand..

 

I have been taking lots of pics of the swap, just give me a day or so.. so I can upload all of them..

yea dude i hear ya. i got stuck in 3rd gear after a day of some mud. 2500 for the beefed up trans. oh well..

 

I left to theater with my truck all torn apart in my garage. I had my dad take it to a shop and have them do the swap for me, $1790.00 later I got my truck back and had my dad get it washed. I'm now rolling again.. My truck sure does get up and go a lot faster than a stryker... LOL just sucks I got to leave it again.. I'm going to possibly get a sullivan intake manifold for it too while im back.. any reasons not too?
