I honestly think every manufacturer makes a good truck, except Honda, that Ridgeline think is a joke. Chevy 5.3 motor is solid, hemi motor is solid, Titan motor is good too and Toyota also makes good motors. I just think F150 is the best overall package of motor, suspension, interior, exterior.
I'm not brand loyal either. i do take pride in what i drive though. and i agree 100 percent they are all good trucks except for ridgeline Honda needs to stick to bikes, cars, lawnmowers, and generators. and as far as the overall package it is a hard decision for me between chevy and ford. Dodge is close behind though.

Its a minivan with box :p.

Jokes aside. The clunk in the rear end or "noise" is probably clutch pack. Not a big deal to do. Just did mine, spark plugs are a maintenance item and you don't have to do it very often I rec 50-60. Is a few hundred bucks really bad for 60k? Not at all when a tank of gas is $100 a pop. Now to the phasers ya they suck, but also (normally) a one time deal. Used trucks break and the $ is well spent over buying a new f150 at $35,000. ( or truck of choice with higher longer payments ). All in all they're still not a bad truck at all. I'm at 60k and have no regrets over the last 30k

I would certainly buy another Ford F150, but it would not be equipped with the 5.4. Mine is the 4.2, and it has provided me with 92K miles (currently) of trouble free driving. Since I don't haul anything big with it, the lower power it provides is still perfect for me. No issues that the early 5.4's had, and for the money, I just don't see the advantages to have bought a 5.4.

The new F150 engine lineups are a whole different story though. Very impressed with what I'm reading on the eco boost V6, and not many issues at all with the new V8's.

I also own a 2011 Mustang with the V6. This thing hauls! Again, a fan of the V6 because of it's mileage, and this one comes with 305 HP. On a light vehicle, it's a great engine. I imagine those folks that have the GT are having a ball with that 5.0 V8!

My buddy had that same '11 mustang, 305hp v6 manual, wow fun to drive, unfortunately while hauling it around a bend out in phx, he accidently slipped it into 2nd instead of 4th, rear end didn't like that.....totaled

I probably would but the looks of the '09+ still havent grown on me yet. I prefer the looks of my '06.

I plan on keeping my current truck for quite a while because I dont want another payment for a while after its paid off.

Make it last your lifetime, buying a brand new motor down the road is cheaper and better than big payments for 72 months lol
