My 07 had the timing job done by the Ford dealership I bought it from (when they took it in on trade). I have put ~35K on since then without so much as a hiccup.

Truck is not running. I shut off while driving and would not restart. I had all the typical codes that theses trucks throw when you are having issues. I've been told by multiple shops that after this happens further damage is caused in the motor due to poor oil circulation. Other people have told me that if you get everything replaced including oil pump and lock out the phasers with a tune you won't have issues. I'm at the point where I spend the money on fixing or sell it as a roller and take the money and just buy a new one.

You're at the point where you need to spend the $1500 on all new parts (with new phasers, no lock outs) so that you can get any money out of it; a 13 year old truck with a toast engine isn't worth anything, but if its running you can more than make your money back. Or, at that point, you can keep the truck because it is now running. The money you would get for a non-running 13 year old truck wouldn't even cover a down payment on a new(er) truck. Up to you. Mine runs fantastic with new parts.

Better figure out what, exactly, got damaged. People are giving advice based on the wrong perception I think. Your thread title is misleading.

OK I must not have understood the original post. It seemed you were still able to drive the truck.

If the truck wont run you need to see what was damaged. If it did jump timing you may be due for a reman or you could just need new parts. New parts will give it better oil flow than from the factory most likely so that is false. But like I said you may have done more damage if it did actually jump time. Whatever the out come is one thing is for sure DO NOT USE lockouts.
