Windshield Wiper Cowling issues
Well good i just found the cowling ends, now I need help on the cowling itself. I doesn't seem to want to stay down in the middle. If I press it down and lock it, it won't stay down it buckles up.
and just use a spray paint that is made for plastic to paint them?
any idea's on the subject?

Krylon fusion is the paint I used and it still looks brand new... The cowl middle is the hardest part the get flush again.. After you paint, allow the paint to cure for several days before you try to wrestle that middle seam together. I installed mine to 95% perfection after paint but had the same trouble with the middle seam.. I let the paint cure a while longer then went back and interlocked them flush... I also painted my rubber end pieces and they are holding up well.. If you don't allow the fusion to cure fully you will damage the paint with the force required to get that seam perfect... Oh, and paint your wiper arms while they are off too.. Make some reference marks with some tape on the windshield so the wipers go back on without any adjustment hassle.

I fought with this forever. Mine kept separating even after I replaced the two cowl covers. I finally kept it down and the two parts together by cutting a small piece of metal strapping( stuff with pre drilled holes), and used two self tapping screws to attach both sides together. I did this at the very front and just used a bit of black paint to cover the screws. When the hood is closed you cannot see it. Very small and works perfect. I can post a pic if you like.

I plan on using semi-gloss Fusion when I do mine.
