Default Windshield glass

I need a new windshield and I know there are various manufacturers. Is there any brand to stay away from and is it worth the extra money to get the glass with the F-150 in the center? I just want to make sure I don't get crappy glass like looking through a fish bowl.

never given this much thought, florida always replaced windshields for free if damaged.

not really a bad brand, aftermarket windshields are basically all the same. just make sure whoever does the install stands behind it, lifetime warranty for leaks

The F150 one isn't worth it. You're basically just paying for it to say F150. It's already pretty obvious that you're driving an F150 to the guy in front of you anyway.

Go with safelight.

Also if you go through your insurance make sure you get the Exact same thing they are taking out! What I mean is make sure your replacement has the F150 logo up top, many try to pass it by as the f150 logo adds about 100 bucks more....

If your paying for it yourself they will usually give you a discount if you have one of the more popular insurance companies. They gave me a pretty good discount for having state farm.
