Yeah my driver's side window had been making a noise about a month ago when I rolled it down, but it no longer makes the noise. I'm at a little over 35,300 miles right now so 700 miles left on the warranty. That's about the time my windows going to drop. Hopefully the noise will come back and I can have it repaired/replaced while everything's still warrantied.

Mine did the same thing within 24 hours of each other. After pulling the doors panels off, I discovered that both of the motors still worked fine. The cables had pulled out of the little plastic piece that bolts onto the bottom of the window. I messed with it for about an hour before I got pissed and just zip tied the window up and disconnected the motor. So i'm looking to give it another try, any advice??

I also had the same thing happen. Rolled the window down, rolled it up and heard a pop. Then window fell into the door. Took door panel off and took a look and was able to get window up and wedged into place.

Found cables had come off regulator due to gear failure.

Cost $450 total to get repaired at Ford dealer. OUCH!!!

I don't know that anyone can give you any other advice other than order the new regulator(s).

Hey guys, I hate to bring up an old topic, but has anyone herd of a factory recall on window regulators yet? My window fell into my door the other day. It is crazy how it happened, I left work made a right handed turn, I noticed my passenger side window was half way down. I thought I may have been leaning on the button, well I pushed the up button and the damn thing fell all the way down! I've got it propped up ghetto style for now to keep out the rain. My truck is a 2005 Scab. Any info will be appreciated.

Had my first window, drivers side, fall last year when I pulled up to a toll booth, that cost me $420 at a Ford dealer here in FL. When they finished the job I made them show me what broke, it was the plastic piece that holds the cable end and window. Two months later the passenger side fell, this time I bought the system and replaced it myself. I keep all the working pieces (motor, remaining plastic piece) for when one of the rear windows break, just a matter of time.
