I bought a 2004 F-150 about 6 weeks ago. Lately I have been noticing quite a bit of condensation on ALL the interior windows. This is starting to concern me a bit. Was wondering if anyone may have suggestions or if this is something I should have checked out?

what do you mean by condensation on the inside windows?

All of my windows are covered in water. Front and back windshields as well as all 4 doors.

This happend once before a few days after buying the truck but then stopped. Then I came out this morning and all were covered in moisture again. I dont want to wipe it down and make my windshield all smeared so I have to wait until the defogger clears it.

When I came out for lunch, windows were Clear. I went out just a few min ago for a break and all the windows are building up moisture again!

You might check and see if you have a hidden water leak somewhere....moisture in the carpet or hidden in the carpet underlay will do this.

Not knowing what part of the country you're from, or the recent weather conditions there - this could be something as easy as residual high humidity condensation compounded by recent temperatures below dewpoint, an interior that has gotten wet through a previous water spill, or as bad as a heater core leak.

Typically, if a heater core is leaking, the antifreeze residuals will leave a smeary film on the windows.

If it is just water, may try running the A/C or defrost at the appropriate temperature controlled level to try to dry things out a little quicker.

Yeah, that heater core leak was what I was thinking as a worse case scenario. You know how they build a truck. The first guy walks up with a heater core and they build a truck around it. Not an easy job to replace one. But it is good hint about the "film" from the anti freeze. I never really knew about that. This is why I like to read all posts for this kind of great info.

But, I have known about a truck with condensation collected in the rear air condition lines (under the center console) that go to the back center. I wonder if that might be where the water is collected?

I had something just as crazy a few weeks ago. But mine was on my windshield. I tried wiping it with my hand on the inside with no luck and my wipers whoud not take care of it. It was really wierd.

If you have a pin hole leak in your heater core you will smell a sweetish smell from the anti-freeze. The air conditioner will have a drain out side in the evaporator housing. What will happen here is the drain hose will get blocked, in my experience usually insects, or tree leafs and the evaporator housing will fill up with condensation so when you run the fan is will pick up the moister and blow it into the cab. I my part of the world where it is very dry the humidity routinely going to the single digits you just don't have this problem.

Well this had not occured since Monday. So hoping that maybe it was just the weather as a few of you suggested. Thanks again for all the suggestions!

I have something similar, my 06 F150 seems to have a leak at the top of the windshield but the only time it's noticeable is when it freezes after a rain. I haven't taken it in yet, I assume it's hard to get a service department to fix it under warranty unless they can see it.
