Default Will this work for a louder exhaust?

Hey guys, my 2004 has a Dynomax Race Bullet as a muffler, but thats it. Considering either removing my resonator and straight piping it, or removing my cats and straight piping them for more sound. Which would be the better option or why? Thanks!

You don't have resonators - you have 4 cats.

Remove the rear cats and replace the front two with high-flows. Retain the placement of all four O2's.

Removing cats is Federally illegal - regardless of local emission laws.

ive had the race magnum on a 4.6 ford and 5.7 hemi and now ive got straight pipe on my 2006 5.4.
the straightpipe seems to be only a little louder but also a fair bit more drone at 2000 rpm/highway speeds.
so i would leave race magnum on and experiment with removing the cats exactly like MGD says.
im actually already considering this myself kind of.
i bought some long tube headers and gonna experiment with no cats and a single possibly dual race magnum or similar straight through muffler.

let us know how it goes

true duals, rear delete. did it a while back and no regrets. sounds great, a little obnoxious under hard acceleration, but i like it that way.
