Default Will it work?

I'm trying to figure out how I can put a 94 302 out of an 2wd F150 into a 06 Fwd f150 and can't find anything on if the motor will bolt to the tranny.

It will not bolt up
The modular motors have a different bell housing pattern

I want to do the same thing in my '04 but with a 351W or possibly an old-school big block.
Like my Grampy always said, "You can put a washing machine motor up a duck's *** if you really want to". LO!

Of course he's right. While we can put the different engine in our trucks - you will need to replace the transmission too. That was never my concern though. It's the computer and what part of it runs the body-related things. Speedometer, gauges, fuel pump, etc. These all rely on that PCM and I don't have the knowledge on how to adapt such things. Can I put an older engine in a newer rig? Sure I can. That computer is my Achilles heel though.

You can also go full Caveman on everything (rip it all out and start from scratch), but do you really want to? At that point you'll have an empty shell. I suppose I'd be up to that if I have a good donor truck the engine came from. It would sorta be like putting your '06 body on your older donor.

Keep us updated on this if you attempt the conversion!
