Default will they fit?

ok. i have a 2007 F150XL. it's the most base truck they sell. Now, although i didn't buy a higher end truck i do want to have some of the features of the other models. two things i really want are the door panels from a 2007 F150XLT (w/ power windows and locks) and i want the center console too (with the cupholders in it). I was just wondering if anyone knew if they'd be direct fits or not. i have already wired in auto locks and am about to have power window kit put in so i'd really like it if i could jsut buy some factory door panels with these switches already mounted.

just a though but let me know if you have any information.

thanks

From what I know they will fit. The Xl's, STX's and the XLT's all have the exact same door panels and are wired the same save the power windows and doorlocks.

They are the same, pre-wired and all. Otherwise they would have to have so many different doors and not be cost effective for Ford. I actually toured the assembly plant in Michigan, what a great experience. Good luck.

Hey Im doing the exact same thing. I live in the Katy area so if you want to get together and have a wrench party give me a holler. I want everything from the fully loaded models I just didnt want to finance the cost.

Triton is right. All the doors are the same it's should be just a plug and play with the panels if u want to change it. I actually work at the Dearborn Truck plant. Good luck.

Just be careful on you're donor choice. The doors on the regular cabs, aren't as wide as the extended cab or the SCrew

sorry bout leaving this post dead.... been really busy haha how much of a difference are we talkin here? i don't wanna have a huge gap either way.

also... will i be able to use factory locks on my python alarm. wires are a positive and neg. which i have hooked to a 3 position switch right now. i wanna use the factory switches cuz i like the way they look but i'm not sure if they'll be able to be configured to work. i'd have to look at them to figure it out less someone knows for me! haha
