Another *** question. Will the 2010 or new step tailgate fit the 2007?

Being on the older side, the fold out step would make my life easier.

Or can the step be mounted on the existing tailgate?

Yes, the '09 and up gates will fit on the '04-'08s, but with different body and accent lines they look way out of place. There was a pic of this combo floating around the net somewhere but I can't find it right now. As for the step just being mounted on the tailgate....I don't think it's possible. I wish it was, cause I'd do it in a heartbeat!

I know the pre 04 were always interchangable with the 250s tailgates. Find a buddy with an any 99 and up 250 and see if the gate fits. They are all the same some if one fits a step gate will too.

I would love to add the tailgate step to my '04. I just want to find a way to retrofit the tailgate and handle to my existing tailgate rather than swap out an '09+.
