So i want to spend some money on the truck but dont know if i should invest in a new head unit and maybe some door speakers (no amp) or if i should get a new exhaust

budget is around 300

Go with the exhaust, then you can just keep the radio off and listen to how mean she sounds! ha

I'm feeling old but I would go with stereo. After having two flowmaster mufflers that rusted out, I went with Banks Monster SI/SO exhaust. It doesn't have the drone of the flowmasters but is still loud when under load. To be honest, I would have rather put the money into speakers then exhaust. I used to love the sound of a V8 with aftermarket exhaust but now that I drive around with it constantly, I'd rather have some nice tunes than exhaust noise on a roadtrip.

U bring up some good points but im not going on any road trips soon until maybe the summer so maybe an exhaust would be better. But im not sure. I want both but not sure whattoget first.

Ya wait for a good deal. I'm not saying its just on road trips that I get annoyed. Anytime I go up a slight incline it gets pretty loud. But like I said, I'm turning into an old man already (only 26), and I would rather not listen to exhaust. The whole big bad *** truck with loud exhaust attitude got old real quick I guess. I'd rather have a nice looking truck with a kickass sound system haha. Anyways, that's my $0.02

PS... I save my loud exhaust and adrenaline for the snowmobile and dirtbike. If your truck is your toy, then you should probably go with exhaust
