Smile To whipple or not to whipple! whats your opinion

To whipple or not to whipple! I have a 2004 scab 4.6l xlt w/101,000 on the clock.

I finally can afford to put some aftermarket parts and i am thinking of installing a whipple supercharger on my truck. But i wanted to ask you guru's if you think its worth it given the high mileage of the truck? Yes i am planning to keep it until i run it into the ground. But what do ya'll think?

Neil

if you've been ontop of your regular maintenance then you should have lots of miles left in the truck. i would bolt one on if it were me(if i new it had been taken care of)...i wish they made one for the 4.2.

Not sure if this helps you or not...I own a Ford GT (supercar)- 5.4L and know that many Ford GT owners install a Whipple on their cars. Whipple makes a fantastic product that creates amazing power. Plus they have excellent customer service.

Do I have a Whipple? No. Do I wish I had a Whipple on my 2009 F 150 and/or Ford GT? YES

Whipple for many cars/trucks has the coolest running kits and the most complete kits available. I don't know if the Whipple needs a new fuel pump on the F150's, but I know that on my mustang they supplied a new fuel pump in their kit and their kit wasn't any more than what other kits were. You'll love the power curve with the low end torque, as well as the top end horsepower

When you get all that stuff installed invest in a custom dyno tune. It will be well worth it.
