Default 4x4 issues. 2005 f150

Hello all, I'm having the famous four wheel drive problems with my 2005 f150. I have replaced the IWE solenoid and the check valves. There is still a grinding noise coming from the front end. But the catch is the grinding noise/feeling only comes when you turn to the left slightly. Like maybe my actuators are trying to engage. But why only when I'm turning to the left?? Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

how are the boots on your axle shafts? are they split and dry of grease?
maybe the left outer is going bad.

Nope the boots are fine but that was a great thought! I'm sure it's a 4x4 issue because even after I replaced the IWE solenoid I still get the ice in the blender noise when the truck comes under load.

And the check valves by the iwe solenoid. That's what I replaced to stop my grinding.

truck does not make grinding noise, although every once in a while when I turn it makes a vibrating feeling like front tires are rubbing fender wells. Found that my 4hi light will blink on and then blink right off, 4lo will engage and pull like normal that I can tell. took to ford dealer and they replace solenoid on the firewall and came home and got into truck and is still doing the same thing. any ideas

Turns out it was a bad wheel bearing on my driver side. Probably the worst one I have ever seen. Super loose. Only took me an hour to do the job tho

At this point I think you have one or both IWEs bad. If so, keep reading...
