And no I dnt have a tuner I had to take the gotts mod off a couple months ago cuz I had to pull the battery and when I put the battery back in the pcm was reset and it ran like crapp so I put the stock intake back on also so its not a prob with the MAF.

Correct. Only the 3 valve engines have cam phasers. The 2004-2008 4.6 is the 2 valve engine.

The 5.4 has a longer stroke than the 4.6. Bore is the same.

Ok its all clear now I thought I had three valves just like the mustang gt engine..thanx for clearing that up good info..and I love this website. Its a facebook for f-150 owners awesome..!!!

Default i am ignorant in anything to do with vehicles so please bare with me....

The guy at oreillys hooked up computer to check code for engine check light and told me it was the idle aircontrol valve.... i have a 2005 f150 4.6l.... so am i getting my chain yanked or what.... cuz im reading that the 2005 doesnt have one... a little help here

Do you see it on your engine? If so, then take it off, clean it with a carbon deposit cleaner and then see if it helps. I had one on my 01 Superduty with the 5.4 and my 04 Focus with the 2.3 and my sons 96 3.0 ranger. Never replaced one, always just cleaned them. I think I used GUNK foaming engine cleaner and a pipe cleaner to clean them. Its been a while though.
