First thing make sure there is a local shop that will mount tires you didn't buy there. Not all places will anymore.

Interesting. I bought new tires online a few months ago. I called about 8 shops around me to get pricing and to see if they did road force balancing. None of them had a problem doing the job even though I didn't buy from them. Seems like they didn't want to turn business down.

The NTB near me will not mount tires they did not sell. I think most places will but you will find some out there.

Treadwright.com.

They remold tires, completely different process than retreading. It basically creates a new tire in a process called Bead-to-bead remolding. Check them out. I just bought a set of 35x12.5r18 for $800 shipped to the house and they have a 2 year warranty. Right now the same tires are listed for $155 on the site so you could get them for just over $600.

Check this link for pics of the tires I just got.
https://www.f150forum.com/f38/2013-b...270928/index7/

go to the last page and scroll up a couple of entries. I have 3-4 pics of the tires. They aren't mounted yet because I have 18x9 Fuel Hostages coming this week to mount them on.

I got my tires through Walmart. Nitto nt420s for $500 for all 4. Then again, I'm running factory size and 20s. 20 is cheap now a days. Also if you know anyone that works at Walmart, they can get you 10% off with employee discount.

Well that is a good question all I know is I brought brand new tires and asked them for a price to put them on. They said sorry but our policy won't let us mount tires we didn't sell. But I would assume that is only for new tire installs and not a take off and remount for a patch.

Just wondering what would be the difference ...they would be mounting a tire that they did not sell.. sounds stupid to me.. Oh well.. there are plenty of places that will mount your tires for you weather you bought them there or not.

Walmart has some good deals from time to time on H/T tires. Depends what you want. Discount will also price match if you find them cheaper.
