Wheel Studs for 2015+ wheels
Today on CL I bought some brand new take off wheels from a 2016 truck. I knew the bolt pattern was the same so I bought them.
They came with the matching lugs but when I mounted them they did not fit (the lugs, the wheels fit fine).
I looked it up and saw that somewhere along the way ford changed the studs from inch to metric.
Is there anyway that I can change the studs? I know I can go buy 2016 studs but is the shoulder the same size so that it fits in the hub of my 2004?
I would much rather change the studs and use the lugs then have to buy crappy aftermarket ones. Also the studs are a lot cheaper.
Thanks for the help, here's a picture of the new wheels.

I bought a set (can't remember the brand) for a trailer of mine at an Autozone and they are a piece of crap, started to rust and pit. How long have you had yours?

Lol.. swapping all 24 studs will not be easier.. swapping out 2 on my 4WD was not hard but time consuming.. why can't you use your old lug nuts or just buy some aftermarket lugs.

I had to change a stud out on my daughter's Fusion. I'd hate to have to do that 24 times!
