Default Whats it worth "Real World"??

I just bought a 04 Screw with 62K on it less than a month ago and I know what I paid for that.Tonight on one of my Journeys to pick up a Hard cover for said truck I ran accross another 2004 Screw that was repo'd.Dark Charcoal in color,Black leather guts with the drivers seat showing a little wear.Other than that it is just a clean stock truck with 98K on it.I checked NADA And KBB it was high 17 to low 18's for clean retail.Realistically I am thinking 15 to 16K. I think I can get it for 11 to 12K.Just looking to flip it for a few bucks.I am going to go drive it tomorrow afternoon and check out the mechanicals. Is 16K out of line to ask for it?

I don't know about your area but last I looked, you'd be lucky to get it that cheap. I paid a tad more than I wanted to for my 04 Screw FX4 when I bought it with 79k miles. Paid 18,9 but they gave me more for my trade... so whatever.

I don't have leather in mine though.

If it is at a dealer, good luck getting them to come down on the price, unless they are hurting for a sale. Truck values around me jumped back up last Sept/Nov and haven't really budged since.

For some reason, I read the OP and figured it was an FX4... and that isn't necessarily true. If it is 2WD forget it.

I got mine for NADA value, or if you want to think about the extra ~$1500 they gave me fro the trade, I paid $1500 less than that, so $17,400.

Sorry about that Guys. 2004 FX4, 5.4, 4WD. I know truck values are high now but I would want to move it quick.I have bought a few repo's from this credit union and they like cash and they like when you finance it with them as well.I have a chunk to put down and would finance the rest. The last one I bought was back in 97. It was a 95 S-10 Blazer with 78K 2 years old.Booked for 18k I bought it for 13k. I will see what I can do tomorrow if it drives out nice and does not need a ton of mechanicals.

My 04 I just bought is a FX4 Screw,5.4 with some goodies 62K on it and I bought it for 14,500.I pretty much paid wholesale price for it.

Count me in for the "beater", I'd like to have something like that.

I got my '05 STX SCAB 4.6L 4X4, 60K miles, last November. I got it for 30% less than where the dealer started. I got 4 times what they initially wanted to give me for my trade, a '96 Explorer with 125K miles. The salesman said they really wanted to move the used inventory, especially the ones could not be financed readily. I ended up paying 13,000 plus the Exp. and I think the book on it at that time was around $18K.
