Its almost time to replace my battery in my 2006 FX4. However I have the Edge Evolution set on level 2 with just a tire size change. What is the proper way to replace your battery so you dont mess up the truck or the pcm? Do I just unplug the edge from the obd port, replace the battery then key on (not start) and plug it back in? Or just plug it in and start the truck? Thanks guys.....

Once a tune is loaded from the Edge to the PCM, it stays there regardless of the battery. So same procedure for battery replacement.

The program will be in the pcm, but it wouldn't hurt to unplug the edge.

Always unplug your edge when disconnecting the battery and jump starting a patron... You can damage the device easily... If its the CS or CTS models, make sure the unit is completely powered down before unplugging...
