On my truck I have 2.5 inch duals from muffler back, it's pretty deep but on my brothers truck he has a magnaflow 3 inch to 4 inch tip single exhaust it sounds bad a$s but his truck is a dodge so it could just be the difference between ford and dodge

Straight through mufflers will have a lower tone. Search Youtube for Borla, Corsa, and Magnaflow.

So, you basically cut everything from infront of muffler back, put in a x pipe and dueled out? no muffler and 4inch tip?
