2004 - 2008 Ford F150 General discussion on the 2004 - 2008 Ford F150 truck.

What's the coolest thing you have done to your truck for under $100?

How about rubberized spray like bumper coating?

wut?

My reply was in response to the Qi charger in the dash tray. That should take, like, a nothing amount.

How rough/smooth is it?
Check out Bullet Liner. Made by the original creator of Line-x, I believe. Its rock solid and looks awesome...

For the tray idea to get stuff to stop sliding around.... Mine has a rubber insert that sits right down into the tray. Looks like a factory piece. Maybe try to find one of those if you don't have it. My stuff doesn't slide around.

That may exceed the distance the qi coil can transmit.

Hmmm I have a few qi coils laying around (I bulk order the chargers to place all over the house and office) might wire one up somewhere in the truck.

Currently as you can see my coil is in the middle. Works pretty well but I can only put my phone up there. I am going to get a triple coil one and put it off to the right, then put my proxy card on the left and sun glasses on top. The proxy card will keep it from sliding left and right. If it slides front or back the triple coil should cover it. That gives me my room for my sunglasses, proxy card back and still charges.
Can't wait for my triple coil to come in. The rubber insert is just fine on the transmit distance as is. I just have to keep the phone still. Hard to do with Memphis pot holes and truck suspension though arguably a big improvement and step toward car suspension with the stock coil overs and outside the frame rear shocks.
