I just hit everything with some scotch brite and bought a bunch of GM Black Matching Spray Paint from AutoZone. They never have Ford Black for some reason but it's close enough.

I touch it up every time I rotate my tires so I have a pretty good layer of paint now and it doesn't chip off anymore from rocks etc.

Luckily I live in the south so no salt to worry about here!

Thumbs up Plasti Dip bumpers, rockers, fender flares, and gas door

So I have been reading alot of these mods and well I just got a new to me 04 fx4 with 140,000 miles. The truck is all silver (not my choice but hey i pretty much stole the truck) the front bumper had alot of rust chips on it and the bottom of the rockers was missing paint but no rust yet. so I sanded down the rust spots and primed them. then I plasti dip both bumpers, nerf bars, rockers, and my gas lid door. looks sweet will have to get some pics and post them in the morning. also did the gotts mod and cleaned my MAS. Total spent on everything including prep materials was $63.79. Now I want to plasti dip my grill and the surround part of it and mayby the wheels but not sure if i like the fx4 wheels all black ( any thoughts on the wheels??)

I would say PTM door handles, but that cost me more than 100 bucks. (Had to do them twice). Other wise I'd say my magnaflow si/so and my 3" stainless steel tip. Although might go with a new set up. Not sure yet.

How much did the PTM door handles run you? I really want to get mine done as well as the mirrors!

Cant remember off the top of my head. Most of the cost was in the paint and clear coat. The door handles arent that hard. Hardest part is actually getting the handles off the door panel itself.

This link will help you out for the mirror caps and how to paint the handles correctly. http://www.f150online.com/forums/200...dles-pics.html

And

(mods if this needs to be in a pm, let me know)
