Tuner, exhaust. And a lot of other things.

X2.

I went with the 08 and the two piece plug issue was a big determining factor. Also, 08 is the last year of the absolute best body style that FORD has ever produced (in my opinion of course) and they got "most" of the bugs out by then. Keep in my mind to listen for the notorious "ticking" when the motor is running and try to get the engine build date so you can confirm you do/don't have the 2 piece spark plug BS.. Goodluck on your search and welcome to the wonderful world of F150!

yeah a tuner, CAI and exhaust help tremendously. I've done all 3 and am very happy. next on the list is new plugs and packs along with a better radiator and Efan setup.

What I meant to say was, how did the 2008 4.6 get the exrta 13HP as opposed to my 2004 4.6? Also, can I switch parts to achieve what the 2008 motor got?

I already have the Edge and exhaust...the edge did give a good power boost

Probably just a tuner. THe intake has slightly longer runners but I know the tuning plays a bigger part than just the intake would. I am not sure if this would bolt right up. Also the cooling fan has an electric clutch instead of the mechanical one.
