I wonder how many actually believe that the vehicle manufacturer makes 100% of the products that have their name or logo on it.

I admit I do use Motorcraft at some things but believe it or not I have other brands as well and wouldn't you know they perform just fine for my daily driving

I would only use Motorcraft Gold if doing a flush. But in a pinch or to top off with, not sure why Prestone 50/50 pre-mix is so bad.........can someone who dislikes the Prestone pre-diluted tell us why it is so bad?

The only motorcraft branded maintenance supply I use is the oil filter because they're $3 at walmart where I get my Rotella.

This is interesting. About two years ago I flushed my cooling system and went with the green Prestone. What are the downfalls?

Of course it should be. Lets hope anyone on this forum would know to use distilled water in their cooling system. Oh wait, I like to read posts in the 2015 section for kicks........lmao!

Should never cut the coolant with water at all is what dealership told me, just add in 100% Motorcraft coolant after flushing. The F150 system holds about 5 gallons of coolant, a standard dump through the radiator petcock dumps out 2.5+/-(I measured) and the rest stays in the system. So if you flush until it comes out clear, add 2 gallons of 100% coolant you are still under a 50/50 mix.

The OP was asking about adding coolant, not flush and refill. If he buys Prestone concentrate, then he needs to mix with half distilled water. I just buy the Prestone pre-diluted and call it good.
