Default what tire pressure?

So im just doing to regular maintenance on my new 05 fx4 and I noticed the tires look low, checked em all out and their all right around 32psi. Tires state max psi is 80lbs which seems pretty high to me. Any suggestions on what I should set the pressure too? They are BFgoodrich AT Ko's 285/65R20

thanks

80 is the max pressure of the tire, not what to run.

Had trucks all my life and has always been 35# of pressure all the way around., Keep it simple.

I've always had direct replacement tires same ply and everything. The tires have always said max psi 35lbs so that is what I have always put in the max of 35 psi. Now I have upgraded to a bigger tire that is 10 ply and it says 80 psi max and people are telling me not to put the max psi in the tires. why max out the stock tires but not max out the bigger 10 ply tires?

I'm running 65 psi in my 80psi max tires right now by the way and it feels a bit loose on turns. may just be because they are new though

well the way i look at it is the 35/35 recommended by ford is for maximum loaded and makes my truck ride a bit rough. Been running 34/32 and it seems like a good compromise. My gm recommended 28f 34r and i ran 28f 30 rear unless loaded...45 or 65 seems way to high
