For what are these Tubes?
Hi there. May name is Peter and I did yesterday my introduction. For I'm living in Germany there are very few posibilities to ask someone here for technical things about Ford USA. Ford Europe ist complete another world. I bought my used F150 last year and also immediately a Haynes Repair Manual, but not all things are with a description. So my question, for what are the tubes shown on the pics ? The pair is located on the front axel and the small one near the ABS hydraulic unit, but the end is loos (that seems me wrong).

the first pic of the rubber lines are vacuum tubes for the 4x4 hubs, they are engaged and disengaged by vacuum. The send pic with the bent hard plastic line that leads to nothing, is i believe a vent for the same 4x4 system, so the vacuum can dissipate and engage the hubs. My truck has the same thing, its on both sides if you look carefully on the passenger side too
