Wich coil packs and plugs for 2008 5.4 ???

I had heard good things about global coils that can be found on ebay, I just ordered all 8 for 65 dollars shipped with lifetime warranty. They are dg-511 for the 5.4,and you will want to stick with motorcraft sp-515 double platinum plugs. They shouldn't be more than ten bucks each and are the recommended plug for these engines since they are picky. I pulled autolite revolution plugs out of my truck (I didn't know they had been changed when I bought the truck), and they were identical in appearance to the sp-515s I put back in, no difference in how the truck ran afterwards. Just be sure to put nickel anti size on the lower body of the new plugs (not on the threads or groundstrap). The new plugs are nickel coated threads already and they will come out like butter. Torque to 27 foot pounds.

I replaced my plugs in my 08 5.4 with 67,000 miles. They came out easy maybe 45 min job. As far as coils i wouldnt change them unless their bad. Ive got 200,000 miles on factory coils before.

The 08+ sid not have the spark plug breaking issue due to redesigned heads. I am replacing my coils because I have a miss that is too slight to throw a code, and buying 8 of them is cheaper than paying the dealer a diagnostic fee. Plus now I will have 8 spares. I am also replacing my fpdm r the same time. I bought the truck used and like the idea of a baseline for my repairs. Differentials are next, then transmission fluid/filter.

I just purchased my 05 supercrew with 100k on it. It's shuddering around 45-50 mph thinking plugs are the culprit, any prep I should do before attempting it I already did sea foam in oil ,gas and ran through intake

I ran seafoam through a tank of gas, as well as 4 tanks treated with Techron concentrate. I also seafoamed the intake. I don't know how long the plugs were in my truck that I removed, but they did have some decent carbon on them. Thankfully mine had been replaced already, so they came out with little to no effort at all thanks to the nickel coating on the newer style plugs. I did buy the Lisle tool from amazon and the 9/16" ford spark plug wrench/extension deal from them as well. Since I didn't use the tool, I was able to RMA it back to Amazon and only had to pay 6 bucks in return shipping. Can't beat that for cheap insurance!
Make sure to remove the computer and bracket on the passenger side firewall, from there its pretty straightforward. Make sure to blow out the plug holes when you pull the COPS, mine had a collection of dirt in them that you don't want falling into the cylinder when you pop out the plug.
