LED tailgate light bar???
I have always thought these things are pretty cool. from my research the ones I have found with the best bang for your buck are these two

i was hoping you guys might be able to give me a few tips before i decide to get one of these. as of now im leaning towards the IPCW lights. but maybe you guys might have a better option for me. i have a 2004 Heritage f150.

ya don't get one. I have had 2 now and both have had 1/2 the bulbs burn out and they look like shiit when they stop working properly. the one on my truck right now lasted about 3 months.

I think there cool too, but they dont last. my first one went out and I found out when my speed control would not work any more. But I did have to get another one. Just make sure you seal it up better with even more silicone. Im went nuts with the silicone this time and maybe it will last...

I have had 2 light bars both of the were the RECON line of fire.
had one on my ranger for 3 years and had no problems with it and when I traded it in the light bar still worked with all lights working as well. I bought the same one for my f150 and had it for 6 months and it still works just fine with no light burned out.
I have heard horror stories about the fire and ice light bars (the ones with the back up lights) sisters boyfriend went through 4 of those and my father in law went through 2 already...

I had two the first one I can't remember the brand but when I put my roll pan on... it caused my tailgate to hit it when I let it down... that was the only reason my lights went out I had it for about 6 months... It had the reverse function... When I took it off even though it had water damage most of the lights still worked... My second one has three bulbs that don't want to work all the time practically right out of the box... Cheap brand... Paid like 90-100$ for the first one and like 50-60$ for the second can tell a big difference in the quality... Save your money and get a good name brand one if you want to get one
