How do you like that sts kit...was it worth the $$. When does the boost kick in. What a/r is the turbo. Sorry for all the questions, but it's hard to find a 4.6 truck that has forced induction.

Default Talon Garage Cat protector

Have nothing but vibration noise from the Talon's Garage Cat protector. We've had it off twice to check that the hangers were in the correct location (front on front rear on rear) No matter how we hang it the plate still touches the
exhaust crossover pipe. I have a 2020 F-150 Lariat with the coyote 5.0. Bought it leftover in 2021 she's a beauty in Rapid Red Metallic. Converter thefts are becoming rampant here and the cops are useless. I paid
$355.00 for the complete kit. The rattle is embarrassing with a near new truck when your sitting at a light or just acceleration from the stop. I would have sent it back for a refund but no refunds after 5 days and restocking
fee's and other bull****. The rear brackets on this thing just don't lower it enough to clear the crossover pipe. It's a nightmare trying to get to the nuts every time we've had it off and do not look forward whatsoever at doin it again.
Thoughts anyone?

not sure how close it is, but have a few things you could try:
1. small thin section of heat insulation between the plate and the pipe - something to take away the metal to metal sound
2. some spacers on the bolts between the plate and the frame. just enough to get the plate a little lower
3. put a small demple in either the downpipe or the plate, or both. I would go for plate since it is an add on, but if you care about looks, then go for the downpipe.

would like to know how it goes, thinking of getting one of those plates myself.

2005 F-150 2WD Regular Cab.
I have added a MP-3/radio interface so I could play my CD's on my MP-3 player through the premium AM/FM single CD radio.
Installed vent visors.
Installed AVS Aeroskin front of the hood protector.
I removed the center jump seat & added a floor console.
I have F/E leveling front struts that I need to install.
Install takesoff wheels & tires from a 2013 F-150.
The interior light with the map lights are a little far back & seem awkward to reach from the drivers seat & the mini overhead console does not have map lights so I am going to make up my own. I will take pictures after I am done.
I want to remove that ridiculous coin holder in the dash on a 2WD truck where the 4WD switch would be & install a clock since the clock in the radio is almost impossible to read due to glare from the angle of the front of the radio.
I am also thinking about some graphics for the side of the truck, or stripes.
Add a bull bar.
Add fender flares.
Add mud flaps.
New headlights.

I will try the first two suggestions as they sound better than messing with the pipe or plate. I will pick up several thick neoprene washers to space it down. This way even if there is minor touching the neoprene should dampen
any noise. Having to do this on my back at my age with arthritis in both shoulders and several fingers is a nightmare. I should have taught my daughters more about auto mechanics LOL. Will post the results when done. Thanks.

Your truck looks great the way it is. Oem PTM flares would be a great addition. I had them on my old 2008 reg cab. Please don’t get the giant black ones haha.

Here’s my old 2008 with oem flares that I added.
