I could have swore they had new one piece plugs.. Oh well. I guess it will be Motorcraft two piece plugs then!

Thanks for all the help! I'll try and get that gryphon ordered today!

Hi.

You aren't the first or only one who has been misled by incorrect advertising. or urban legend. Some Amazon/Fleabay ads state they are 1-piece. Simply Not the case.

The crimp on the SP515's *appear* to be 'stouter' between the plug body and the ground sleeve, but that is only speculation based upon the increase in 'bluing' around the plug. Folks are still managing to break the newer plugs upon second or third extraction, though ... so I suspect it's not really stronger.



I simply chose the Champion route to avoid the problem for good - not recommending anyone follow. But so far, so good.

Well I figure I won't have to change them again so we'll see.

Got my gryphon ordered though. Waiting on the confirmation email. (they said it could take a few days)
