Exclamation What kind of 3rd Brake Light

Well my OEM 3rd brake light appears to be leaking into the cab and I need to fix it ASAP. I noticed water on the headliner and down the back seat after taking my truck to the pressure washer and I do believe its from my brake light. So I saw a couple threads on here where some people bought replacements but they still leak. Im alright with the oem look as I prefer chrome over the smoked because of the scheme of my truck. This leaves me to ask, What works best?

I removed the OEM seal and replaced it with duck brand heavy duty rubber weather stripping and it fixed my leak. I want to say I only paid around $5 for a roll and it took 10 minutes of time.

Did you buy it from Lowes?

I purchased it from Wal-Mart, but I imagine most hardware stores would carry it or something similar.

Stringer,
What did you end up doing?

I bought my truck used and when I came home and inspected the 3rd brake light someone has siliconed around the outside of it. It looked like a mess.

I noticed the brake light was actually out which meant I had to remove all the silicone.

Now I have some hairline fractures throughout the brake light and am looking for a replacement.

I went with Recon Lights, I'm happy with it. I had to have them send me 2 sets since the 1st set had a non working LED strip. And the 2nd was missing the weatherstrip completely. So I just went to Lowes and bought a roll. No more leaks on mine. I even put rubber O-rings on the screws. Want to make sure it's water tight. I'll post a pic when I can.

Using that Duck brand weather stripping is a great idea, thanks!
