Those Chevy tow hooks are crap. I think the new dodges are like that too. They just bend if pulled too hard.

Ive pulled out a polaris ranger 6x6. We buried it in in a snow drift when jumping terraces. All six wheels were high centered off the ground. Since the field was frozen it took a few runs on the strap, but the ol 2004 supercrew 5.4 4x4 performed.

BTW we tow with a 25' 10,000lb ratchet strap. Havent broke one yet. Just buy quality.

We used 3 25ft straps hooked together to make on long strap one a couple yrs ago when we had a 19" blizzard. Dad took the f150 to feed the cattle. Only made it half way back the gravel road and had to walk 1/2 mile to the farm thru 19" sniw plus 5ft drifts. By time he made it back to the truck the snow had re drifted around it. I cam down to the farm driving our then brand new 2010 dodge 3500 dually cummins 4x4 in white out conditions. The f150 was stuck on one side of the hill and with all the straps the dodge was on the otherside. So towing downhill we busted thru all the drifts back to the highway, which wasnt much better. Adreniline at the time but fun to remember.

Guy and his girl were out looking at Christmas lights last night and went to turn around in the grass next to the road... Little did they know that it looked like pure solid ground but was very muddy and wet underneath. They were lucky I drive by because the tow truck was 30 mins away.
