The white grille shell looks great, what paint did you use? I tried to paint over my old chrome with 2 or three coats and always had issues with chipping.

It's the factory white grill shell that it come with. Chrome needs to be completely sanded off in order to be painted over. I'd check out automotivetouchup.com, get some paint and clear from them, and sand your chrome off completely. Unless you don't have a need to any more. I used their paint to do the mirror caps, door handles, and 2012 emblem insides.

I actually went and got the H bar to replace my honeycomb cause I like the H bars, and had it on there for probably the last two years. But I now like this better. This grill actually looked really good chrome too.

You'd better at least scuff the absolute **** out of it! There's no excuse for not removing most of it on a plastic piece though. Real metal chrome has to be sand blasted in order to get it all off.

On the insert that I just painted, it was too annoying to get it off in all the little crannies, so I sanded on the face and we'll see how it holds up.

yeah I'm aware. I think it looks better black though....the honeycomb showing through does suck (I like the overlay a lot, and I like the honeycomb alot, but not together).

I wish I even had a honeycomb lying around lol....I might have to make a grille up yet

I don't really need it anymore, I've got an entirely new all black grille. I sanded all the chrome off, just always had it chip and peel. Could have been cheap paint. Thank you though, I'll get a little for possible emblem mods to come!
