All this retrofit talk makes me want to put another set together.
Getting the color on the cutoff of the passenger side to match up with the color on the driver side. The driver side was nice and blueish/purplish and the passenger was more orange/red and the hot spot was below and to the left of the middle of the cutoff shield. Shimmed the bulb at the 2 o'clock position to fix the hotspot and then put one washer between each of the bottom bolts on the projector to gain back some blue color on the cutoff line. Looks much better than my first aim, but the cutoff is perfectly level and just slightly out of focus way to the right of the passenger side "step" which I figure will be the ditch anyway....

Not sure, but most likely due to them being the lower quality in the closeout section. Still very much worth the $20 for the pair!

Hey Summers! I'm about to put in the housings, just curious what bulbs you were using before you went the HID route. I want to say it was Sylvania Silverstars, but I could be wrong.

I would love a set, but at $170 now, when some were getting them for $75 on black Friday, I will have to wait for a sale.....lol

Yea I noticed I had a slight imperfection on one of the projector lense that I'm hoping doesn't cause a glare.

I doubt it is the lens. The mini H1's have always been known to not be "perfect" out of the box. Sometimes people get 2 really good ones. I think there are some that you can buy that are "tuned" to be perfect right out of the box. But I did tear mine apart, paint the shields, sanded and lubed the plunger on the solenoid etc, so some of that I may have caused with all the handling.

That's it! Thanks, brother. I'm going to run to Autozone and see if they have any. I need to pick up new fog bulbs, anyway.

Might be difficult to see, but I switched them out! It looks SO much better. They didn't have the Phillips bulbs, so I'm going to order a pair.
