In the past couple of weeks....new TFT sensor harness (three separate times because I apparently didn't get the harness snapped back in correctly the first two times!) and 15 quarts of Mercon V. Rear rotors and brake pads. New plugs, boots, and springs. I found 7 motorcraft spark plugs and one autolite. Also, only three remaining Motorcraft coils....I have no idea what kind the other 5 are.

Started the exhaust manifold replacement. Got the starter off, and all the nuts removed. None of the studs broke, and three of them came out with the nuts. Got one removed, need to remove the four so I can pull the manifold out and start the replacement. Figured that was a good stopping point. Used up my daily allowance of cuss words. It's the passenger side by the way.

Had some obligations this morning but back to work on the manifold this afternoon. Got all the studs out then had to loosen up the motor mounts and jack the engine up to get the manifold out. Then put the new one in and got 6 of the 8 new studs in. This is not an easy repair that's for sure. Not impossible but not easy.

All right. Job is done. Engine is quite as a church mouse again. You don't realize how loud an exhaust leak is until you repair it and then drive the truck. Heck of a job wouldn't really want to tackle it again but now that I know the procedure it's wouldn't be as bad.

They do look nice, I’d worry about the turn signals not doing so much now with the chrome bucket delete though.
