Changed my trans output seal/hood today. I did the full timing redo a few months back and started having a burnt oil on exhaust smell. Figured I must have screwed up a valve cover gasket. Nope, it was the output seal failure causing trans fluid to drip into the exhaust crossover. Went ahead and packed some grease into the yoke to stop the clunk. Drove her around afterwards and she is smooth a silk.

Also cleaned the MAF. My Volant system came with an oiled element and I recently replaced it with a Donaldson pleated filter that is dry. No more cleaning the element and MAF every oil change

I bought it from Grizzly Metalworks out of Georgia, $850 shipped to the nearest freight pickup location. Had to paint and bed line it myself (didn’t want to pay the extra lol). They have a few select models they make bumpers for, and it so happens that our 04-08 F150s are one of them!

Cool Changed the rear Differential Cover.

Replace the old rusted leaking rear differential cover, I noticed it was loosing oil when changing my brakes.

Leaking on right side.
This new one from AM autoparts looks much better.

New cover installed, oil added, road tested!

Thanks man. I was just checking out their website...they produce some pretty good looking bumpers! Would probably cost me a mint to get one shipped up here though. Thanks for the reply.

Fixed the rattle from the rear, turned out to be a loose top shock bolt
