I'll be changing the oil pressure sending unit on my wife's Explorer tomorrow. Gauge has been dropping to 0 lately. Hope it's just the sending unit.

Has to be. If the pressure was zero, your engine would be toast already. I bought an Intellitronix digital LED gauge from Summit and am replacing the Glowshift gauge and sending unit. I mispoke about the Glowshift, the gauge is working fine, just hard to read during the day, all lights work on it and the new sending unit will be here tomorrow. I am posting it for sale. One thing I am doing different is a dedicated ground for the new gauge and sending unit. I tied into the wire from the harness of the 4x4 selector plug. I'm grounding straight to chassis this time and Intelletronix says it will give the most accurate reading this way. I have to get a new filter and another quart of oil before this though.

Also who is doing your timing job? If my pressure is below 20 I have 2 options, timing job or 2013 up F150. 99% sure it will be the new truck option.......

I tried to take my wiper cowls off two days ago to krylon them. What a pain. I got the drivers side off and was able to replace a faulty spray nozzle but the passenger side made a cracking sound as I was trying to get the Last firewall hook loose so I stopped. at $100 a side I didn't want to break one. Maybe Ill try again this spring when things warm up

I took mine off a couple years ago but I dont care if I break them. I have a set that is in much better shape that I am sealing up with Wipe New. My driver side has a 4" crack.

Pop it off, worst you can do is break the hooks. Self-tapping screws fix that pretty easily.

My family has a very trusted mechanic that usually does all of our big jobs. He does really good work but this will be his first 11th gen timing job. He's fully capable but I sent him s vares guide in case he had any questions. Hoping it goes well!
