What all is involved with swapping to the flow through console? Do I need the whole dash or just the middle section of the dash? TIA

I'm not sure which pads to use when I use the UC. I'm also not sure if I'm supposed to polish after the compound or what. I have these pads.

Those 20's look great and still maintain a nice amount of sidewall. Did you add a lift?
Thanks. It doesn't have a lift, I wanted to see what it looked like just stock... and I like it!

These are the pads I have, grey for light cutting (Megs UC) and red for final polish (Collinite 845) they are Cobra cross groove:

Couple quick fixes today...
First thing I did was get some quality weather stripping to replace the old/crusty/missing foam lining the air filter box, no more whining when I hit certain speeds
Next I replaced the IWE solenoid after my 4x4 failed to work a couple weekends ago while ice fishing was hauling a sled trailer and had one in the bed and got stuck in some snow. After a wash I checked it and was soaked, old hoodless model, new hooded model fixed the 4x4 back to working order...lucky me

Sarge
Wash truck with Dawn dish soap
Clay bar with detail spray until you no longer hear the contamination when you rub you hand across the paint (put your hand in a baggy when you're doing this). Clay bar is the only way contamination can removed from the paint surface.
Cutting compound with DA, use light detail spray to keep the compound moist and help prevent paint burn. Use micro fiber towel to remove.
Apply glazing and a polish compound (yes, you can do both at the same time) with light detail spray and DA. No need to remove.
Apply wax, microfiber towel to remove
Stand back and admire! Drink a beer!

Clay bar is not the only way to remove contamination but it's usually the safest and easiest way.
If using a real compound, changing pads every panel is ideal but sometimes not feasible. However, if you are actually using a compound to cut, you need to have a way to clean the pads in between sections. In regards to using Megs UC, keep the pad clean and don't over work it, it'll give you decent results.
Not sure why you'd apply a polish and glaze at the same time....
