You are so right on this one, I have the 04 FX4 and picked up a 16 Ruby Red Metallic XLT a couple weeks ago as well. Gave the 04 to my son to drive so we can still do father/son time with mods and use the 16 as my daily driver.

The drivers side had about 3 inches of dead zone in it and both could be compressed easily, didnt rebound at all really.

So much want!

Pretty sweet combo you got there, and that's real good of you.

Man I'd love a 13th gen. Great trucks. Hell, I still want more trucks I'm serious, they're like chips haha

I have mine mounted under the driver seat, I have a Rockford mono amp, fits perfect right under me.

Mine I mounted behind the back seat on the back wall of the cab. Sadly I didn't take any pictures and it's a pain to remove the seat back. It fit perfect. I have a big cab 1600.1 back there. 2 skar audio vd 10s at 1 ohm pushing 1000watts rms. Drops my voltage from high 13s to low 12s. Dash flexes, wipers bounce, center console shakes. It's pretty bad lol. Gotta update speakers next.

If you look in my photos, you will see a picture of a hood in blue, that style is what I'm looking for. Squared off and single opening, I'd actually use it for my air intake.

Don't the 12th gen mirrors bolt right on to the 11th gen trucks?
I see if you scroll down the page they show an 11th gen with the led's on the mirrors.
